My mentor loves the topic of teacher training. Tonight he said teachers aren't trained, they wake up, and we support that in community in the schools. Mr. DuBois showed me so much about compassion, empathy for students and tolerance for the Kafka-esque vehicle that allowed us access to spend time together reading and writing about great ideas. Kate was so right about having mentors. Mine is still at it with me!
