Democratic Education celebrates 100 years at Summerhill.
“Were all instructors to realize that the quality of mental process, not the production of correct answers, is the measure of educative growth something hardly less than a revolution in teaching would be worked.”
Writing is the greatest force for democracy, but maybe only when the author is at liberty to write or not.
When we compel writing do we beg a process like thinking, but that falls short of it?
When we offer writing to our students, maybe we facilitate thought....
What do you think, can people learn to write without being forced to write?
What an honor to sit among a wonderful group of people. Thank you for the information as it will be shared.
