Here's a blog by a teacher asking if we still need to compel education. I can force an amaryllis to bloom whenever I want to manipulate the light and temperature, are students the same? If I toss the amaryllis bulb out to fend for itself, it will freeze and die. When we release our students from the compulsion, how many find a bloom cycle and thrive?
