I promise, every messed up thing that has ever been said about me started here, with this op ed piece.  Diane Ravitch, in The Death and Life of the American School System, in the chapter, "Lessons from San Diego", says the same stuff I was saying back when I still thought the pen was mightier.

This is the bottom line truth about why the trajectory of my career has been so challenging, and such a mystery to those who think politics start and stop on election day.
